Carolina Farm Stewardship Association will be hosting six organic focus groups within North Carolina and South Carolina for producers who are certified organic or considering a transition to organic production. An initial meeting was scheduled for April 12th from 6PM-7PM in Chatham County, but this meeting has been delayed. We anticipate the first meeting will take place in July.

More information will be coming soon on future meetings and all these focus groups are open to row-crop, specialty crop, and livestock producers. The goal of these meetings is to gather information and share the experiences of producers who currently face barriers to organic production, organic certification, or access to organic markets.

These meetings are part of a regional effort to improve access to organic certification through the Southeast Transition to Organic Partnerships Program.
