FSA Announces 2024 Organic Certification Cost-Share Program: Oct 31st, 2024 Application Deadline

The following information is from the USDA-FSA 2024 Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP) Announcement

USDA certified organic growers are eligible for a cost-share assistance program to help cover costs of certification. This year certified organic operations can receive a 75% reimbursement, limited up to $750, for certification costs. The deadline to apply is October 31st, 2024.

Producers can list expenses such as application fees, inspection costs, and inspector travel expenses. The maximum payment is $750 per certification scope (e.g. crops, wild crops, livestock, processing/handling).

Producers may apply through FSA or participating state departments of agriculture. Producers should only submit an application to their local FSA county office OR their state department of agriculture and can not receive assistance from both.
